At Kids Care Club in Rancho Penasquitos and 4S Ranch, our Brown Bears Schedule offers a carefully structured yet vibrant day for our preschoolers. From the moment they step into the Little Monkeys Room for a warm welcome to the enriching evening story time, each part of the day is thoughtfully designed to nurture learning, creativity, and growth. This schedule represents our commitment to providing a balanced blend of educational activities, play, and rest, ensuring that each child experiences a day full of discovery and joy in a supportive and engaging environment.
The day at Kids Care Club starts in the Little Monkeys Room, where preschoolers are warmly welcomed and settle into a variety of engaging learning centers. This period is crucial for a smooth transition from home to school, offering activities that foster creativity and social interaction.
Following the learning centers, children participate in clean-up, learning the value of cooperation and responsibility. This is followed by hand washing, an important routine for hygiene and self-care.
Snack time offers nutritious food and a chance for social interaction, where children practice table manners and engage in conversations with peers and teachers.
Circle time is a dynamic and engaging session involving calendar activities, discussion questions, Zoo-phonics, and songs. This time enhances social skills, listening abilities, and cooperative learning, while introducing basic concepts relevant to the Rancho Penasquitos and 4S Ranch area.
Children are divided into two groups for a range of activities:
Group 1: Engages in language & literacy, math, journaling, and art activities.
Group 2: Participates in outdoor play, science, and group games.
Midway through, the groups switch activities to ensure a diverse and enriching experience.
Children return to learning centers for educational activities, offering a variety of choices to engage their interests and extend their learning from the day.
This period includes story time and activities from the Second Step program, focusing on sharing and social-emotional learning.
Lunch provides a nutritious meal and further opportunity for social learning in a communal setting.
After lunch, children engage in quiet reading time, a calming transition into the afternoon nap.
Nap time is a peaceful interval for rest and rejuvenation, essential for the preschoolers’ well-being.
After waking up, children enjoy a snack followed by outdoor play, which is especially enjoyable in the beautiful settings of Rancho Penasquitos and 4S Ranch.
The late afternoon circle time includes music, movement, and stories, encouraging creativity and physical activity.
The day concludes with story time in the Leap Frog Class, a relaxing and engaging way to end the day, reinforcing a love for stories and reading.
