Wondering if your preschooler is ready for kindergarten? You don’t need a formal test—just ask yourself these three quick questions at dinner tonight:
- Can they follow simple directions with 2–3 steps?
Example: “Put on your shoes, grab your backpack, and wait by the door.” - Can they ask for help when they need it?
Whether it’s opening a snack or solving a problem, communication is key. - Can they manage basic self-care independently?
Using the bathroom, washing hands, zipping a jacket.
If the answer is “sometimes” or “we’re working on it,” you’re right on track.
At Kids Care Club, we focus on the full picture of readiness—social, emotional, and academic. Our NAEYC-accredited Pre-K program supports each child’s unique timeline and builds real-world skills through play, routine, and encouragement.
